Joseph Milizio, VMM managing partner and head of the LGBTQ Representation Practice, has been appointed to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) National Board of Governors.
The Human Rights Campaign is the largest human rights organization advocating on behalf of LGBTQ Americans, representing over 3 million members and supporters nationwide.
Vishnick McGovern Milizio was one of the first law firms in the U.S. to establish a dedicated LGBTQ Representation Practice, and we continue to provide dedicated and compassionate legal support for all people.
The firm is a longtime advocate for LGBTQ rights through pro bono and community involvement initiatives, including as the cosponsors of the HRC 2019 annual summer fundraiser and the prime sponsors of the 2019 CUNY Pridefest.
The New York Law Journal named VMM’s LGBTQ Representation Practice to its “New York Top Rated Lawyers 2020” list. Mr. Milizio was also named the LI Herald Top Lawyer of Long Island in the Civil Rights and Pro Bono categories, both for his work in LGBTQ matters.
