Thomas Weiss
Prior to joining VMM, Mr. Weiss led his own firm as a sole practitioner in Garden City, New York. An accomplished attorney, he has over 20 years of trial experience at both the state and federal levels.
Mr. Weiss began his career as in-house counsel for a property management company in New York City, where he was responsible for all legal matters concerning commercial and residential properties. His experience in this area includes overseeing all compliance issues, negotiating and drafting residential and commercial leases and other contracts, and resolving disputes in and out of court.
Mr. Weiss has worked for several litigation boutiques, where he handled all phases of complex commercial litigation, from motion to trial. He has also represented parties in divorce and family matters.
Mr. Weiss is selected to the prestigious peer-reviewed Martindale-Hubbell, where he was awarded the 2021 “Client Champion: Gold” distinction, given to less than 4% of MH attorneys. He is an Avvo 5-star reviewed member and Clients’ Choice honoree.
Barbara Hutter
Prior to joining VMM, Ms. Hutter honed her investigative and advocacy skills as a prosecutor with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in the Trial and Appellate Divisions for 18 years.
As an Assistant District Attorney, she investigated and litigated over 900 cases, including the most serious and sensitive violent crimes, interviewed thousands of witnesses, and examined countless documentary and physical pieces of evidence. She tried many cases to verdict and argued several appellate matters.
Following, Ms. Hutter spent over two years as an associate with a boutique personal injury firm focusing on catastrophic injuries and wrongful death matters.
A highly skilled attorney with over 20 years of litigation experience, Ms. Hutter brings her vast and sharp skills to advocate on behalf of VMM’s clients.
