The LI Herald (Herald Community Newspapers) announced their 2022 "Top Lawyers of Long Island" recognitions. VMM received four awards, including Top Law Firm—for the fourth consecutive year!
In addition to Top Law Firm in its size category, VMM attorneys received three individual honors:
- Partner Bernard McGovern received the Lifetime Achievement Award, for his diligent work for almost 50 years and wide recognition by peers for his expertise. He was previously named a "Top Lawyer of Long Island 2021" in the Estates & Trusts category.
- Partner Morris Sabbagh was named "Top Lawyer of Long Island 2022" in the Not-For-Profit category, for his work on behalf of high-net-worth individuals in the creation and administration of charitable foundations and charitable planned giving vehicles.
- Managing Partner Joseph Milizio was named "Top Lawyer of Long Island 2022" in the Pro Bono Project category—for the fourth consecutive year—for his involvement with several LGBTQ causes and organizations. He was previously named a "Top Lawyer of Long Island 2019" in the Civil Rights category.
The LI Herald Top Lawyers awards are given annually to “Long Island’s best and brightest legal professionals.”
